Commerce Energy

About Commerce Energy

After its foundation in California in 1997, Commerce Energy has begun its journey to provide electricity and natural gas to businesses and households across the U.S. Since 2007,  the company has invested $32.1 million in renewable energy and $14 million in reducing emissions.

However, potential new customers would not find the energy supplier under its old name. Commerce Energy was acquired by Just Energy in 2009 and in 2017, its name was rebranded under the Just Energy Group umbrella. All existing customers were carried over while maintaining the same billing and customer service process. The only difference is that Just Energy is now listed as the natural gas and/or electricity supplier on the bill. The Just Energy family also includes Tara Energy and Amigo Energy.
